Copper: Energy Efficiency

Copper Provides a Sustainable Solution

Did you know the appliances in your home and office are made more efficient by incorporating copper into their motors? Did you know your appliances even contained copper?

They do, and those motors in home and industrial appliances consume nearly 43-46% of total electricity worldwide!

Because copper is a very efficient conductor of heat and electricity it drastically reduces the amount of energy needed to power appliances. This helps conserve natural resources and lowers your bills!

Not only will this help lower global CO2 emissions, but consumers who use appliances with copper based motors will collectively save $350 billion each year!

We joined forces with the United Nations Environment Program, the UN Development Program, the Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standard Program, and the Natural Resources Defense Council in an effort to lower global electricity consumption by 10% by 2030. This is equivalent to the combined yearly energy consumption of the European Union!
