Copper’s upstream and downstream segments have achieved great success in China. The copper industry has made an outstanding contribution to the development of a modern industrial system and creation of a world-class manufacturing brand. However, the industry is now facing new challenges, including accelerated adjustment of the international trade landscape, a slowdown in global economic growth, increasing downward pressure on the Chinese economy and uncertainty in the macro environment.
The International Copper Industry Summit will answer questions such as:
- How will China’s copper industry respond to the shift toward green development?
- To what extent do U.S.-China trade frictions impact the copper application market?
- What are the opportunities and challenges facing the important end-use markets of copper, e.g., refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, wires and cables, transformers, motors and new energy, in the new era?
More than 40 world-class experts and industry leaders from China and abroad are expected to attend.
During the event the International Copper Association (China) will launch its inaugural “ICIS Award.” The award seeks to explore and promote the most forward-looking and innovative copper application products and technologies in the copper industry chain.
