Headquartered in Washington, D.C., ICA is the leading advocate for the global copper industry.
The International Copper Association (ICA) has been working on behalf of the copper industry for more than 60 years, beginning in 1959 with its predecessor organization, the International Copper Research Association (INCRA). ICA was formally created in 1989.
Today, as a nonprofit trade association, ICA advocates for issues critical to copper through proactive engagement with government and regulators based on sound science and data in the fields of health, environment and sustainable development. Specifically, ICA advocates for issues spanning across the globe, including clean energy, climate change and sustainability.
