Based in Beijing, ICA Asia is the leading advocate for the Asian copper industry, covering China, India, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia Countries.

ICA Asia’s primary mission is to work with Asia policy makers, make a positive contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and support markets for copper. ICA Asia is a powerhouse for market development and is concerned with a range of issues, from developing national standards for distributed wind turbines (DWPs) and high-efficiency motors to expanded heat pump standards for agricultural use in China. Furthermore, ICA Asia is working with key stakeholders in the government on the 14th 5-Year plan, carbon neutrality goals for 2060 and supply chain security.

To strengthen the industry’s reach, ICA’s partnerships in Asia include the Electrical Engineer Organization, Asia Power Quality Initiative, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, State Grid Corporation of China, Shanghai Electric Vehicle Public Data Collecting, Monitoring, and Research Center, the Shanghai International Automobile City Group, and Nanjing Aeronautic and Astronautic University and others.
