Ciarán Cuffe has been an Irish Member of the European Parliament for the European Greens Party since 2019. He is a member of the Industry, Research & Energy (ITRE) committee which is responsible for the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Significantly, Mr Cuffe is the rapporteur for the EPBD on the ITRE committee. He is also the President of the European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources (EURFORES). Prior to his role as an MEP, Mr Cuffe was a Minister of State in Ireland and a Dublin City Councillor. He also previously worked as an architect as well as an urban planner and has completed an MSc in Cities from the London School of Economics.
