Morten Helveg Petersen has been a Member of the European Parliament for Renew Europe since 2014. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Industry, Research & Energy (ITRE) Committee responsible for the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Mr. Petersen is also the shadow rapporteur for Renew Europe on this file. Prior to his role in the European Parliament, Mr. Petersen was the Director of the Association of Danish Media and a Member of the Danish Parliament for nine years, serving as Party spokesperson on finance, business, defense and security.
