Susannah is the Head of Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability at the Cobalt Institute—the non-profit trade association composed of producers, users, recyclers and traders of cobalt—representing over 70 percent of cobalt produced. She represents the Cobalt Institute on several prominent platforms, including the Global Battery Alliance, ICMM, Eurometaux and the Fair Cobalt Alliance.

Susannah is an expert in human rights and sustainability with over 18 years of in-house and advisory experience across numerous sectors, including mining and metals. She has held positions with Shift and the LBMA where she acquired an intimate knowledge of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance. Susannah also spent ten years employed with a global engineering contractor, later as the Head of Social Sustainability.
