Chelsea Ritchie spearheads the International Copper Association’s (ICA) public affairs digital strategy and provides direction to the day-to-day operation of ICA’s global and regional digital channels. She strategically promotes copper’s applications and ICA members’ responsible production practices to policymakers and key stakeholders.

Chelsea shares the copper story through visual learning to inform and improve misconceptions about copper. An advocate of the ESG agenda, Chelsea appreciates the opportunity to promote stories about the copper industry’s role in helping communities. In conjunction with ICA’s Public Affairs team, Chelsea was central to multiple award-winning projects, including three PR News Social Shake-Up Digital Awards in 2020 and a MarCom Award for ICA’s web design in 2019.

Passionate about social justice, Chelsea serves on the board of I am We Are, a nonprofit organization that empowers youth through leadership and life skills training. She also loves practicing yoga, training athletes and performing community service.

“Copper is everywhere! I love sharing the copper story because the average person has no clue just how embedded copper is in their everyday life.”

ICA has a committed team of global advocates, scientists and market experts who advise policymakers and the value chain on key issues for the copper industry.
